Within the campaign (You Are Not Alone) for the blind cane led by the special needs child Muhammad Al-Mustafa and in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior - Department of Relations and Media, the Control and Systems Engineering Department hosted this activity on Thursday 12/5/2024. This activity targets Iraqi universities, institutes, and schools in multiple stages in order to raise awareness and educate about the importance of the blind cane, which is a symbol of independence for the blind. The head of the department, Prof. Dr. Azad Rahim, welcomed the delegation of the Ministry of Interior with the child Muhammad Al-Mustafa, and then everyone headed to the university presidency where a meeting was held with the assistant president of the University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Farhad Othman. Then, Muhammad Mustafa gave a lecture in the conference hall in the department about the use of the cane by the blind to ask for assistance from others. Awareness brochures were also distributed in the university corridors to the students. It is noteworthy that the department and the university sponsor such campaigns because they are an important part of society.
