The Control and Systems Engineering Department Holds a Seminar on the Impact of Financial and Administrative Corruption
The Control and Systems Engineering Department at the University of Technology held a seminar entitled “The Impact of Financial and Administrative Corruption” on 16-12-2024. The lecture was given by the legal accountant and auditor, Lect. Dr. Saad Ahmed Ismail, in the presence of a number of department members and those interested in the subject.
The seminar covered several main topics, including:
- The concept of financial and administrative corruption
- Causes of financial and administrative corruption
- Types of financial and administrative corruption
- The impact of financial and administrative corruption on the economy
- Solutions that must be followed to get rid of financial and administrative corruption
The seminar aimed to shed light on the risks posed by corruption to institutions and the national economy, and ways to combat it through the implementation of effective regulatory and legislative measures. The lecturer also stressed the importance of spreading the culture of integrity and transparency and enhancing institutional work to ensure the reduction of this negative phenomenon that affects sustainable development. At the end of the seminar, there was a discussion session to answer the attendees’ questions, where the participants stressed the need to intensify such awareness seminars to confront the challenges associated with corruption in its various forms.
