The Department Organizes a Women's Cultural Competition Entitled "Noon"

 

Under the auspices of The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghaban, and according to cooperation between the institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Education, the Department of Control and Systems Engineering organized with the team (Iraqiya here) and the High School for Distinguished Girls / The First Rusafa, a women's cultural competition under the title “Noon”.

The President of the University, Deputy Minister of Education for Administrative Affairs Dr. Falah al-Qaisi, the head of the department Dr. (Azad Rahim) in addition to the management of the High School for Distinguished Girls in Rusafa were present to witness the competition. The competing teams were formed by female students and teachers from the Department of Control and Systems Engineering and the High School for Distinguished Girls in Rusafa. They formed groups representing the high school students’ team, the female students’ team, the secondary school teaching team, as well as the department’s teaching team, in addition to the presence of the creative women of (Al-Iraqiya here) with each team. The team of High School for Distinguished Girls won a remarkable form after collecting winning points by answering the competition questions about information in science, history, sports, literature and more. The atmosphere of the competition was enjoyable for all attendees and was dominated by the spirit of competition and dialogue. both the Deputy Minister of Education and President of the University praised the organization of the competition, the opportunity of interaction created between the students and teachers of the school and the university and the great role of Iraqi women in building society and the country. At the end of the activity, the winning shields were distributed to the members of the winning team and the participation shield to Asif Academy by the President of the University. In addition to that, the Deputy Minister of Education handed out certificates of appreciation for the participants.

Also, the High School for Distinguished Girls and Asif Academy were honored by the head of the department.

In appreciation of the role of the Deputy Minister of Education in supporting the women of education and his attendance at the competition hosted by the university, the President of the University presented him with the university’s shield.

The master's thesis of graduate student Amer Bashir Rakan was discussed in the specialization (control engineering) on Sunday, 31 October 2021, at the discussion room (Hall 9) in the Department of Control and Systems Engineering. His research was entitled:

Positive control for glycemia regulation via sliding mode observer

 

The Discussion Committee:

The main objective of this thesis is to automatically regulate blood sugar for type 1 diabetes (T1DM) and avoid the risks of high blood sugar and hypoglycemia. the positive reaction control of the previous condition (BGC) (in the fasting phase while maintaining order in regulating the concentration of glucose in the blood, positive constant group (pis.) The system within PIS has two main advantages, the first is to prevent hypoglycemia, and the second is always positive. Department of Control and Systems Engineering participates in the Talent and Innovation Festival

 

Students of the Department of Control and Systems Engineering participated in a series of creative practical projects in the festival of talent and innovations held at the University of Technology and in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports / (Department of Scientific Care). The participation committee consisted of Dr. Mohammed Yusuf Hassan, Deputy Head of Scientific Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Firas Abdul Razzaq, Assist. Prof. Dr. Aref Abdul Rahman Al-Kassar, and the research unit's staff, represented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Bushra Kazem, Lect. Dr. Qusay Fadhil, Lect. Dr. Mohammad Nuri Reza, Assist. Lect. Seminar on Applying and Admission to Schools for the Distinguished and Talented 

 

The Department of Control and Systems Engineering in collaboration with the Department of Computer Engineering at our University held an informative seminar entitled Applying and Admission to Schools for the Distinguished and Talented, Baghdad College and the preparations for admission). The seminar was held at the conference hall on Tuesday, 16 November 2021 in the presence of the Head of The Department of Control and Systems Engineering (Assist. Prof. Dr. Azad Rahim Karim), and Head of Computer Engineering Department (Assist. Prof. Dr. Hassan Jalil Hassan). the seminar was on two sessions:  Dr. Riad Atta Abdullah (Director of Baghdad College High School for boys) opened the first session, showing general information about Baghdad College and its acceptance criteria and the nature of the curriculum, followed by Ms. Asma Khaled Youssef, director of the School for Distinguished Girls located on Morocco Street, speaking about the schools in general and the acceptance and nature of the study. In the second session, Dr. Rawa Walid Abdel Wahab representing the schools of the talented talked about the nature of these schools and the nature of the curriculum and features. The session was shared with engineer Zainab Fawzi Hussein, IQ trainer, and discussed the most important topics of IQ tests and the need to educate the people about the importance of pre-training. the seminar concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation by the head of the department of computer engineering to the lecturers of the seminar with souvenir photos.
