The fields of mechatronics, automation and robotics engineering have witnessed a rapid development and an increasing demand for their applications in industrial, agricultural, educational and medical fields. The Department of Control and Systems Engineering decided to form a research unit specialized in the design and execution of advanced research in automation and human robot applications since it possessed a specialized staff with advance expertise in these fields. The unit aims to acquaint the concerned parties with the importance of introducing modern automation techniques and robotics in various aspects of life to facilitate and improve the performance of many vital activities in society.
