Master Thesis Discussion

The Department of Control and Systems Engineering awarded the Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering to the student (Rand Ali Majid) on 19/3/2018 at the discussion

room in the department for her research entitled (Control of the Internal Model using a self-feeding Neural Network for a class of Nonlinear Systems), The discussion committee

:was

Dr. Saadi Abbas Khudair \ President.

 - Dr. Mohammed Yousef Hassan \ Member.

 - Dr. Boshra Kazem Alawi / Member.

 - Omar Farouk Lutfi \ Member and Supervisor.

In this thesis, the researcher presented a technique of intelligent control using the internal model control system for nonlinear dynamic systems. This method uses the NARMA-L2

network, which is built of two neural networks, the two feeding interfaces, as proximal proxies for the construction of a front-end model. Called micro-immune system developed

to train the network architecture used, the simulation results showed the efficiency of the proposed control system in terms of accuracy of control and the ability to remove

disturbances. On this occasion we congratulate the student (Rend Ali Majid) and wish her more success.

Master Thesis Discussion

A graduate student in the Department of Control and Systems Engineering (Mustafa Mohamed Badr) awarded a master's degree in mechanical engineering (Mechatronics Branch)

from discussing his thesis for the Master of Science (Development of a Robot Path Planning Algorithm Based on the Field of Modified Industrial Voltage) on Tuesday 20/20/2018,

the discussion committee was :

1-Dr. Omar Farouk Lutfi \ President.

2- Dr. Ali Hussein Hassan \ Member.

3 - Shaima Mahmoud Mahdi \ member.

4- Dr. Firas Abdul Razzaq \ Member and Supervisor.

Where the researcher proposed four ways to improve the path finding solutions in this study, these four proposed methods have been applied to two cases: first applied to the

robot point and second on the two-arm robot. The first method includes an adjustment to the forces of field theory modified industrial voltage. The second method is to use the

modified field theory of industrial voltage based on the technique of the optimal particle squadron to find the best coefficients. The third method was done by the modified field

theory of industrial voltage based on the technique of the optimal particle squadron to find the best intermediate points. The fourth method was the integration of the methods

mentioned above. The best results were obtained through the last method of theoretical and practical application. The discussion was attended by the President of the University

of Technology (Prof. Amin Douai Thamer) and the Director of Administrative Affairs at the University Presidency The head of the Department of Scientific Affairs and Graduate

Studies in the department, the assistant head of the department for administrative affairs and a group of branch heads, department professors and postgraduate students

attended the discussion. On this occasion we congratulate the student (Mustafa Mohammed Badr) and wish him more successes.

Visit the students of the second stage of the Department of Engineering Control and Systems to the Iraqi Museum

On Sunday, 18/3/2018, the Department of Control and Systems Engineering held a visit to the Iraqi Museum, which belongs to the Tourism and Antiquities Authority, in order

to identify the historical and cultural heritage of the Mesopotamian civilization. In cooperation with the Committee on Cultural and Scientific Activity of the students in the

department, where the participants commended the initiative by the presidency of the section, which is rooted in the memory that Iraq is a civilization worthy of preserving it

and to start building new civilizations for future generations and only with the participation of all experiences, we wish to progress our beloved Iraq.

The Department of Control and Systems holds a course entitled “Course of the theoretical Basics and Programming of the Robot”

Within the activities of the scientific activity, the Department of Control Engineering organized a course on the theoretical and software fundamentals of the robot and supervised

and lectured professors:

1 - Dr. Firas Abdul Razzaq

2- Hind Zuhair

3- Laith Khamis

The course included the explanation of equations and the basics of robot and the application of equations on the program (MATLAB SIMULNK)

The course was held on Sunday 18/3/2018 for two days and two hours a day at the Mechatronics Laboratory where participation was limited to the professors and engineers of

the department. At the end of the course, certificates of participation will be distributed.
