On Sunday, 26/11/2023, the Psychological Counseling and Educational

Guidance Unit in our department held an awareness workshop

regarding the phenomenon of suicide, as it is one of the dangerous

phenomena in society. This lecture, which was given by

(Lect. Dr. Alia Abdel Reda Abbas), a teacher in the Department,

dealt with educating the students about the concept of suicide,

its causes, methods of treatment, and its impact on the individual

and society. The lecturer emphasized that the phenomenon of suicide

is one of the most dangerous social problems facing the world today

because it is widespread among young people and adolescents

due to the presence of external and internal factors related to the

individual. The lecture was concluded with some proposals

that limit this phenomenon.
