A Training Course Entitled "Implementation and Simulation of Zigbee Transmitter and Receiver using Matlab / Simulink"

On Tuesday, the 14th of May 2019, the Control and Systems Engineering Department held a two-day training course entitled "Implementation and simulation of Zigbee transmitter and receiver using Matlab / Simulink" for improving the skills of the staff and students of the department. This training course, which was held in the Communication Lab for two hours per day, included the following topics:

1-Presenting an overview on digital transceiver systems.

2- Explaining Zigbee transceiver systems and its applications.

3-System simulation based on IEEE using Matlab/Simulink.

The aim of the training course was to introduce the fundamentals of digital communications in addition to the basic components of digital transmission and reception systems considering the ZIGBEE as a model. On the other hand, the practical part included system simulation using the Matlab/Simulink program and understanding the effect of AWGN on the performance of the system in terms of BER error rate. The lectures in this course were given by Lect. Dr. Ekhlas Kadhum Hamza and Asst. Lect. Russul Haitham.
