Master Thesis Discussion (Rouneq Adnan Mahmoud)
A graduate student in the Control and Systems Engineering Department (Rouneq Adnan Mahmoud) received a master's degree in engineering (Control Engineering) after discussing her thesis entitled "Intelligent Robust Controller Design for Anesthesia Systems)". The discussion took place on Wednesday the 12th of June 2019 on the Discussion Hall number (9) in the department. The examination committee consisted of: 1- Asst. Prof. Dr. Hazem Ibraheem Ali / Chairman 2- Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khalaf Hamoudi / Member 3- Lect. Dr. Sami Kadhum Hassan / Member 4- Asst. Prof. Dr. Safanah Mudheher Raafat / Member and Supervisor The main part of anesthesia depends on the method of control of the drug type and the patient's analgesic status by regulating and concealing the hypnotic process which depends on the clinical indicators, such as heart beat rate, blood pressure, and BIS index derived from spectral analysis of the brain's electrical plan. In this work, the jacobian method was proposed to obtain the linear model of the nonlinear model where two robust controllers, namely the loop controller and the fixed loop controller, were designed to control the DOA system. The discussion was attended by the head of the department (Asst. Prof. Dr. Azad Raheem Kareem) and the assistant head of the department for administrative affairs. On this occasion, we congratulate the student (Rouneq Adnan Mahmoud) and wish her all the success.

Parallel robots were used in many applications for various tasks such as the manufacture of automatic tools, the pointing device for telescopes, the flight simulator and satellite measuring devices. In this research, the intelligent control strategy was applied using the type-1 fuzzy logic (T1FL) controller and the interval type-2 fuzzy logic (IT2FL) controller to control the gripper of the 3-RRR parallel-type robot. A comparison was made between the (T1FL) controller and the (IT2FL) controller in terms of track following and the robustness characteristics of the controllers. The effectiveness of each controllers was assessed based on four paths, namely the circle, square, triangle and infinity. On this occasion, we congratulate the student (Huda Talib Najim) and wish her all the success.
